Reviews

Dottie West, one of the sterling country artists who scores with consistency, certainly has a winner in this album. The sound is country all the way, the tunes are religious. She performs a beatiful stirring version of “How Great Thou Art,” “I Believe” is handled tenderly, and she reaches for the heights on the full-production number of “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
Traditionally well-loved songs of inspiration make up the bill of fare in this Dottie West offering, with standout tracks by the lark on such items as “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “How Great Thou Art,” among others. Additional flavor is lent to the package with the backing by the Jordanaires, who help make the artist’s performance all the more appealing. Other fine tracks include “The Lord’s Prayer” and “In God’s Eyes.”

Liner Notes

A Letter from a Proud Mother.

Dear Dottie,

I have just listened to your new religious album. To me this is the best of all you have made. As I sit here listening to these beautiful songs, I picture your sweet face. It is easy to know that your feelings are sincere when you sing these songs. I am especially thrilled to hear you sing my favorite, How Great Thou Heart. I am sure each of your listeners will find one of his favorites in this album. You know I am the old-fashioned type, and you have proven yourself in every way to be worthy of my love and respect, for you are a perfect lady, a wonderful wife, a loving mother. You are someone special, and this world is a better place for me because you are in it. It is a richer place because of these great songs you sing. May God bless you and keep you safe always.
